This is a beautiful piece of furniture that matches my sons bedroom furniture well!! All of his toys fit (he's 1) and has a little room to spare. It's very spacious. The lid has a safety feature when you open it, it holds itself open rather then falling shut when you let go. And there's a cut out on the actual toy box under the lid so if your Childs fingers are holding onto the top of the box & they close the box then it will not close on their fingers. Would definitely purchase this piece again & I'm very particular/picky! It is a little pricey but well worth it & if you buy it right to start with you save by not having to replace it later :)
